DERMfoot Educational Ventures, LLC (DERMfoot) and its various affiliates respect your privacy and are always committed to protecting it. This online Privacy Policy explains how DERMfoot collects, uses, shares, and safeguards information on its various websites and apps. We collect information about our users in three ways: directly from the user, from our Web server logs, and other technologies. We use the information we collect primarily to provide you with a personalized Internet experience that delivers the information, resources, and services that are most relevant and helpful to you.
We do not share any of the information you provide with others, unless we say so in this Privacy Policy, or at the point of submission, or when we believe in good faith that the law requires it. WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW WE USE IT
Information we collect — When you choose to interact with DERMfoot, you will be invited to submit certain information, which we collect to fulfill your expectations and anticipate your needs. Examples include registration for seminars, participating in online surveys, evidence-based needs assessments for CPME compliance, requesting information or materials, issuing CECH Certificates, receiving quarterly newsletters, and marketing. DERMfoot will collect certain personal information from you. The type will vary but may include name, address, phone number, email address, credit card information, and other demographic information. The service that you seek will determine the personal information collected. Our need and basis for collecting and processing this information are to deliver the professional level of service you need and expect.
How we use information — We process data received about you on the legal basis of DERMfoot’s legitimate interests in providing our services, websites, apps and their functionality to you. Once collected, we may use your personal information for the following purposes:
Register you for programs and services you have requested

All e-blast communications (via constant contact) contain an “unsubscribe” option in case you want to discontinue the communication at any time. With whom we may share information — DERMfoot occasionally engages companies to provide limited services on our behalf including, but not limited to, processing payment card transactions, website analytics, printing, sending postal mail, and event registration, email distribution, website and systems hosting, marketing, and data storage. We only provide those companies with access to information as is required to deliver the service. They are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose. Except as described in this section, third parties may not collect personally identifiable information about your online activities over time or across different websites when you use our websites.
Disclosure to third parties — On occasion, DERMfoot may disclose your personal information to a third party. Those circumstances may occur when:
(1) it is reasonably necessary to perform a service or deliver a product or publication or focus an offer specifically to you; (2) it is authorized by you; (3) permitted under this Privacy Policy; (4) required by statute or regulation; or (5) in the good-faith belief that this information is required by law. This action is necessary to: (a) protect and defend the rights or property of DERMfoot; (b) protect the personal safety of DERMfoot’s personnel or members of the public in urgent circumstances; or (c) enforce DERMfoot’s Privacy Policy.
Information security — DERMfoot implements security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure, or destruction of data. We restrict access to personal information to our employees as well as DERMfoot’s business partners who may need to know that information to operate, develop or improve our services. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations.
Children Age 13 or Under – DERMfoot does not knowingly solicit data online from or market to children 13 years of age or under.
