Why has DERMfoot 2020 SPRING seminar been rescheduled?

DERMfoot takes the well-being of our attendees, faculty, and very important. Following the guidance of the CDC, WHO, and state and national governing bodies, the executive committee elected to postpone the April seminar.  We reached out to our Spring registrants and they elected October 1 – 4, 2020 to be the rescheduled dates.

What alternatives are being offered to registrants?

Seminar Alternatives: 

  • Automatic DERMfoot 2020 Spring seminar registration transferred to the DERMfoot 2020 Fall seminar, New Location: October 1 – October 4, 2020, Hilton Washington Dulles Airport. Free airport shuttle. No action is required on your part. Agenda is posted online.
  • *Request to transfer your DERMfoot 2020 Spring seminar registration to the DERMfoot 2021 Spring seminar, held April 15th – 18th, at the Westfields Marriott Washington Dulles in Chantilly, VA.
  • *Enroll in the virtual streaming of the CPME CECH lectures presented at the DERMfoot 2020 Fall seminar. (Detailed information to follow).

Will attendees be refunded by DERMfoot for registration, hotel and travel costs?

Refunds:  Registered attendees who request a refund in writing will be provided refunds minus a $75.00 processing fee. Refunds may take up to six weeks to process.

Attendee Hotel Reservations: The Sheraton Tysons Hotel will automatically cancel all reservations as this property has permanently closed. Please hold onto your confirmation/cancellation for your records.

Attendee Travel Expenses: DERMfoot is not responsible for your travel expenses. Please contact your airline to make alternate arrangements.

Will exhibitors be refunded by DERMfoot for registration, hotel and travel costs?

Exhibitor Booth Costs: Registered exhibitors will be able to transfer their registration fees to the rescheduled conference scheduled for October 1-4, 2020 subject to availability. If you are unable to attend, refunds will be provided minus a $250.00 (single booth) or $500.00 (double booth) processing fee. Requests for cancellations must be made in writing to DrJoyce@DERMfoot.com no later August 1, 2020. Refunds may take up to six weeks to process.

Exhibitor Hotel Reservations:  The Sheraton Tysons Hotel will automatically cancel all reservations. Please hold onto your confirmation/cancellation for your records.

Will speakers be refunded by DERMfoot for registration, hotel and travel costs?

Speaker Registration Fees: As a faculty member, your registration fees were waived. DERMfoot will continue to cover your registration fees as long as you are able to present a requested lecture during October 1-4, 2020 seminar.

Speaker Hotel Reservations: DERMfoot will secure your hotel reservations at Hilton Washington Dulles Airport (note: new location) based on the information you provided.  You will receive a new confirmation number when accommodations are confirmed.

Speaker Travel Expenses: DERMfoot is not responsible for your travel expenses. Please contact your airline to make alternate arrangements.

Will I still be able to get CME?

Our Scientific Planning Committee will continue to provide up to 25 CECH** credit hours.
**This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the standards and requirements for approval of providers of continuing education in podiatric medicine through a joint provider agreement between CME Online and DERMfoot Educational Ventures, LLC. CME Online is approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education as a provider of continuing education in podiatric medicine. CME Online has approved this activity for a maximum of 25 continuing education contact hours.

Will any sessions be made available virtually?

Yes, DERMfoot will be providing live streaming during our October 1-4,2020 seminar for those who are interested in this service.  You must be pre-registered by sending an email to Admin@DERMfoot.com in order to be signed up for remote sessions as well as CECH virtual scanning, check in and post meeting multiple choice tests.  Further details will be provided closer to the rescheduled seminar dates. Please check with your state licensing board regarding requirement for continuing education credits at “live” on site vs virtual “remote” seminars. DERMfoot cannot offer licensing board advice regarding CME virtual credits.
